Masterclasses & Festivals
Masterclasses are part of the learning structure, present in the curriculum of professionals dedicated to exploring their potential to the fullest. Festivals, music schools and training centers provide environments for these specialized classes.
In Brazil, Eugene participated in festivals such as:Olinda International Music Exhibition in 2007, Virtuosi (Recife, Gravatá and Garanhuns) in several editions since 2008, IV Natal Cello Exhibition in 2014, and the IX edition of the Ouro Branco Cello Festival 2023. Some of the outstanding teachers during this period were:Fábio Presgrave, Márcio Carneiro, Matias de Oliveira Pinto, Leonardo Altino and Nathalia Khoma.
During his studies abroad, Eugene also complemented his training with Masterclasses through the Cork School of Music and Dublin Cello Society, being among the main names:Pieter Wispelwey, Daniel Muller-Schott, Natalie Clein, Martin Johnson, and Constantin Zanidache.
It was also in Ireland where he experienced more intense moments of musical learning through the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, in the 2015 and 2016 editions. As a listener, he had the opportunity to participate in the masterclass with the prestigious Borodin Quartet. Furthermore, as a member of the Sonoro Quartet and Beara Quartet, Eugene expanded his knowledge and learning with masterclasses from highly relevant artists in the chamber music scene, such as:Vanbrugh Quartet, Lawrence Power, Viviane Hagner, Peter Schumayer, Nurit Stark, Cremona Quartet, Liana Gourdjia, Tamsin Waley Cohen, Borusan Quartet and Doric Quartet.
